Global warming was supposed to be limited at 1.5 degrees, but it didn't happen. Last year was the hottest on record, and this year is set to be even hotter. The Paris Agreement's so-called 1.5°C safety limit has been exceeded, and with current policies, we're heading towards a catastrophic 3°C warming!
The planet is burning, but society isn't reacting. The government is pouring gasoline on the flames by spending over 4 billion euros annually on environmentally harmful subsidies, which is more than all unemployment benefits paid in our country, or even twice the amount of housing benefits.
Finland's Climate Act sets precise requirements for achieving carbon neutrality, but the government isn't even trying to meet them. When decision-makers break the law, it's our duty to act!
Our demands: Environmentally and climate-harmful subsidies must be stopped
Tell the truth: The government must provide a detailed account of environmentally harmful subsidies.
Act now: Environmentally harmful subsidies must be ended.
Strengthen democracy with a citizens' forum: Citizens must be more strongly involved in making fair environmental policy.
Just transition: Communities suffering most from the eco-crisis must be prioritized in decision-making.

The Boiling Point is here, and so are we! The hottest campaign of the autumn begins on September 3rd.
We're ready to show the decision-makers that we are at the Boiling Point. Join us in showing the government that it cannot continue to violate climate law.
We won't give up, but will pressure politicians to acknowledge the severity of the crisis and end environmentally harmful subsidies. Large-scale civil disobedience is a proven effective way to awaken society and turn passivity into action. When there are thousands of us on the streets, those in power will have no choice but to listen.
In the protests, you'll participate in marches and creating reasonable disruption. Demonstrations are on September 3rd, 7th, and 27th. Registration for the first demonstrations is already open, and we'll soon open registration for September 27th as well.
The demonstrations take place in Helsinki, along good transport links and in places where destructive policies are made!
